Getting Books from Other Libraries

In addition to books in the library and eBooks, the Doddridge County Public Library can also access books from other libraries and have them delivered to our library for patrons to read. The library is able to access books from any library in the NorLN system.

Certain items, such as books that are too new, reference materials, or movies cannot be the subject of an interlibrary loan. The library will prioritize getting books from Center Point Outpost Library and Clarksburg-Harrison Public Library before other libraries in our system. Patrons can use our card catalog to search for books in our library, and from all libraries in the NorLN system.

Patrons who receive items through interlibrary loan will have to pay the return postage on the item. This cost varies depending on the item, but is usually no more than a couple dollars. Patrons receiving items from Clarksburg-Harrison Public Library and Center Point Outpost Library will not be charged postage.
